it does seem they may have seperated the tail in the mat editor
so you can use an accessory slot for the clothes and then just disable everything isn't the tail

Luminea just perma paywalls (AND hardcore password protects) content he steals/modifies from other creators. Argued with him on this when he first started monetizing his content, I think he may have made a few mods but even then they're just asset rips.
Check my SAO archive, tons of better (and usually free) content there. I don't recommend anyone buy his content, take your money elsewhere.
(Also, to this day, nobody has asked me to make any hair mods...which I'm still up to do for free )
